My car is weird. If I drive it one day and never go past 3500-4k its fine but if i take it past there once it starts backfiring like crazy and there loud like someone is shooting and you can smeel gas and it will stay like that for the remander of the day. If i come out side the nextday the same thing happens first its fine but if i take it past 4k it goes all crazy, and it can barley stay idle. It feels like I am running on one rotor when that happens. What could be the problem?

check your grounds.. like your ignition ground, and your 02, .. if the igniton ground is bad .. then your ignition will only work some of the time.. when its getting the good ground there fore cause your engine to run very rich.. or overload with fuel.. also the 02, check the sensor itself and the wire going into the intake manifold.. see if its broken..
