Any suggestions on why the twin pulley system is better than the stock one?

If you remove your airpump, you lose one of the belts driving the water pump. The dual pulley lets you run that second belt to the alternator instead to keep the waterpump belt(s) from slipping.

Where's the airpump and what does it actually do?

Sorry new to the rotary scene...

It's not a rotary specific part. It's a piece of the emissions system and keeps the cat functioning properly. If you have removed it Than the air pump is no longer needed and then often removed without the pulley the one belt on the water pump will actualy start to slip.

also the dual belt system is an underdrive pully kit. helps free up a little hp. you can run a single belt set up but you will need the rather large water pump pully if you eliminate the air pump that is

Can you run the twin pulley without eliminating the air pump?
