umm he didnt do **** to an fc. thats a CJ frame, the only thing different is the body panels.

thats like saying how dare someone crash an fc and ruin a body panel.

kevin.
a swap like that would be done by basically welding a FC frame to the CJ.

You cant put FC body panels and the interior on a CJ frame, so a FC was sacrificed for this, but they arent exactly collectables so who cares, the car was probably on its way to the junk yard anyhow.

People have been mating different cars to offroad chassis forever.

This was posted last week in GEN D by the way, lol.

Just drive your own **** and let everybody else do the same. Did he do that to your car while you were sleeping? No. Does it affect you in any way? No.

Damn, it's just a car. If that guy's car is the worst you have to worry about, then I envy you. The rest of us have real lives to deal with.

while i hold 'to each his own' as a great adage that i adhere to, it still hurts the heart to see something like that.

just LOOK at it. as an rx7 luver, its hard NOT to be pissed.

im sure you get pissed about a lot of things that do not DIRECTLY affect your life.

read the paper, someone dies, doesnt affect you, yet it still bothers you. i'm not hear to lecture you, but come on, that is just ****** nasty.

and yes, we should drive our own **** and let everyone do the same, but that rx7 could have made someone like use - people that respect rx7's - happy. if that guy wants to **** up a car, do it to a probe or a neon or something, NOT an rx7.

seriously, thats some sick ****.

I am usually part of the crowd that thinks it is blasphemy for people to swap a rotary engine out for a piston engine. But in this case I think it is a bit different. The motor was not swapped "because it is better" or "for better reliablity". The entire drivetrain was swapped to change the body over to a completely different use.

In my opinion, to of done a conversion like this "properly" the frame and driveline should of been used out of a Mazda Navajo (yea.. rebadged Ford Explorer). At least you could claim it was all 100% Mazda, sort of. (too bad they never offered it in a V8)

I think this conversion is a bit excessive but cool in its own way. I would love to have something simular to it. I would not want it 4' off the ground but with a driveline that strong and powerful I could use it to tow my race car with. How would that look? Pull up at the track in an FC towing a 18' car hauler with my ITS car on it.
