I'm just wondering if there is a market out there for carbon fiber hoods for the 1st or 2nd gen RX-7. I know someone who can make them if he has a market for them. They will be one hell of a lot lighter, look pretty cool (matter of opinion I guess), need to be held down by hood pins, probably cost between 500 and 900 dollars. Tell me if you are interested.

I think Kimo3 started a thread similar to this one a little while ago. I know he is interested in one. I think it would look great, but I am not in the market for one.

I had thought of making some fiberglass hoods that didnt require pins, but I dont know how many people would buy if it would be worth the trouble or not.

Any examples? I was thinking of a fiberglass turbo hood, but to be honest, I dont know if there would be a weight advantage or not versus aluminum. And I guess a cowl induction hood is no good either??
