i am interested to find out who on the forum has the fastest 2nd Gen Na car with stock ports , if you reply please make a list of modifications and your 1/4 miles , thanks

 

My friend has a really fast 2nd gen.. i think it would run a 16 or so.. but thats fast for an RX7 right?

add a standalone and drag radials you will be pretty damn fast. for n/a....hehe

 

I know it's in the wrong body but it's a 2nd gen engine in a SA I ran 14.8's first try, only time out...



Stock engine with tons of mileage on it, header, customs cold air intake, no six port sleeves, no six port actuators... it's also the stock efi



I have a buddy that has a '87 sport model that ran 14.6's with stock engine and the same mods but working sixports

 

Although not on this forum, I knew a guy from the old TeamFC3S list that ran a 14.07 - I haven't heard of anyone besting this time yet...

I also remember a car at the local drag strip that was i believe a 86 SE intake, exhaust and like an 75 shot of laughing gas, he ran 13.4's, and i believe 14.9's off the bottle

 

I have only run 1/8mile (all we have in san diego) but my best was a 9.8@74mph with headers, intake and exhaust all on a stock port

 

I think that the time TED posted is about right. There have been a few ppl that said there great motors would do better, but nothing has ever really surfaced.

But I think there was a guy at clubfc3s or somewhere that was in the 13's, not sure if it was stock port though.
