ok i found a guy who will sell me a manual tranny and all of the parts to do a conversion for $500. the tranny only has 68000 miles on it and it is from a 90. ok how hard is it to do the swap? i talked to a guy today and he said he wouldnt even do it. he says that it would be too hard. how hard is it really? what all is involved??

It wont be to easy and will take a lot of time. Are you going to try and do it yourself?

i dont know. if i could find someone who would do it i would get them too. i could try to do it myself though. what would be so hard to do?? wouldnt the hardest part be getting the trans in and out??

I really dont kow the trans isnt to hard with the right stuff but adding all the extra peices for the clutch and the pedal might be a little tricky. Its probably not that hard but really time consuming.

im thinking that the indentions will be in the metal where the clutch is supposed to go. these things did all roll off the same assembly line. i will have to look at it. my auto will prob be dying soon so i can rebuild the auto one for about 2000 or do this.

yeah all the spots are there its just putting everything in the spots.

i think you may have to pull the dash out to put the pedal cluster in. all the holes are there though

all the holes are there, if not there stamped there as stated above, the swap isnt that hard, 5 speed tranny, the clutch hydralics are simple and small, youll need the interior trim pieces from a 5 speed rx7, as far as i know the driveshaft should bolt right up? correct me if im wrong

yeah please correct him if hes wrong. what interior stuff. i know the boot and shifter but what else. he did say he was including everyting to do the swap
