is the firewall rule real?? I can't see that. the lines still cross the bell housing anyways so it won't make any diff.

yeah it's for real, but if your just a weekend runner and you aren't in the 11's i doubt they're gonna tech you that closely, If you were in any type of competition tho, that's a requirement

I put mine on the passenger strut tower, but it's getting relocated to right on the secondary fuel rail. If at all possible it would be best to have it mounted on the engine somewhere, then the engine torqueing side to side won't have any possibility of turning loose the AN fittings on the FPR (or worse yet, tearing things apart if your hoses are not long enough to take up the slack)
even if the hoses are long enough initially, as the motor mounts wear you may not notice the movement increasing and that just sounds too risky to me.
I don't like this idea, at all!! I don't think mounting the FPR on the engine or even to close to it, is very thought out. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif The more you heat the fuel, the worse it is. If you mount it on the fuel rail like that you will be heatting the fuel like mad, more so then say, a fuel line laying across the block. The more metal mass something has the hotter it will get. It will become a oven. It's not just a safety issue but a HP one too. Fuel is just like air. ( the cooler the better)
SS line do flex. & will have no prob moving w/the engine. You shouldn't have any probs w/ the an fittings becoming loose. If you do, then you may not have them torqued right or not enough slack in the line, etc.
As for keeping the motor put. Just say ontop on the car. Check sh!t out periodically. (maintenance) also fabbing some straps and a torque brace are a plus.

I mounted mine on the fire wall. I don't plane on becoming hard core in drag racing. They will let you run and not even look under the hood. I guess it all depends on how fast you are. Just think about open track. I have seen some of the biggest POS's out there. I wouldn't even park some of those things to close to my house.
How would you do it? Please don't tell me the black boots. (like a small hose with a top) cuz they are for vac only and will not hold. I have never found anything that will hold as much press. as a bolt threaded into the end of a hose and clamped. If you know a better way, I want to know.

what about putting the two nips together w/one hose......Would it mess up the flow in any way?

Oh, I think I should add that I do like the spot MD picked for his FPR. Lots of air going around it.I think thats the only place I would mount mine onto the engine, if I did. NICE!!
