ok smartypants, where do i put the spare tire?
|
You could just mount it in the hatch area to the side. The only other places I can think of would be, the spare tire compartment, the jack compartment, or the glove box.

put the battery in the glove compartment.
|
on my car the pc680 is sitting on the torque tunnel, it's going to stay there, theres a flat land on it that it fits perfectly on, inline with the bolts the center console/dash used to mount to which i'll probably use for straps to hold it in place...
but you probably still have the dash and all that stuff. |
i like the glovebox idea actually
|
i figured you would.
|
where do i put my gloves though?
|
on your hands.
|
im thinkin of moving mine to the pass bin in a few days

I want to see someones face when you have to ask for a jump and they watch you hook the cables up in the glovebox https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I would give some consideration to how the battery will vent.
I have seen first hand how dangerous the vapors from a battery can be |

use the battery as a mount for your type r wing.

unless you are going to run a dry-cell type battery DO NOT PUT IT IN THE GLOVE BOX. In case of an accident and the battery ruptures, do you really want h2so4 on your passenger's legs??? Also, the lead core battery causes a vapor form of h2so4, and keeping that in a confined place, such as the glove box, might make for a hazard if you open the box up. From here there are a couple solutions.....
1) dry cell battery's (watch out for gel-cell, if they are charged too quickly they burst) 2) lawn tractor battery. They are MUCH smaller then a car battery, and I have a friend that has been running his SSB neon ACR off one for years, with no issues. You can keep it under the hood because of it's size. If you are dead set on getting a battery relocated out of the engine bay, try a dry/gel-cell and install it as low on the passenger side as you can. this will help move the center of gravity closer to the middle of the car. There are a couple companies that make CNC battery tiedowns that are of show car quality. Some good blinging stereo battery terminals, and something like monster wire, would make the whole install look good, and still remain functional. gIvE iT dAt RaCeR lOoK FoOz! |

i have a pc680, i think its a sealed wet cell.

Corprin, looks good, but can you include another pic for reference or tell us where it is. And don't say "the interior", I can tell that by the carpet. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Sounds like a good spot. That would lower your center of gravity and put weight over the drive wheels at the same time! A win-win situation for sure! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif
|
its too bad its not round, other wise i could put it in the speaker tower
mike |
I bet you could force it round by putting a couple heavy-duty band clamps around it and tightening the bejeebers out of it! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

mike but they can be broken in an accident! [/quote] I believe it was on the odyssey web site I read they are classified as dry cells for shipping purposes and will not spill anything when broken... which is why they can be shipped easily as dry cells. I havent taken a sledge hammer to mine yet though. |
