Allright thanks guys.Where can i get a alternator tester and how much would it cost?

Check your alternator first then...

If you hear a clicking noise and it does not subside... It's prolly your starter. The solenoid can keep "flinging" the little pinion gear (that turns the flywheel) out making a distinct clicking noise and draining your battery. I made the mistake of jumping a battery on a truck while the starter was doing this and as soon as it had enough juice the truck surged at me cause it was still trying to start. Also, the lead battery terminal melted on the positive side.

Something else to consider. Just cause your battery is new does not mean it is good... If I were to guess, I owuld say the night your car would not start it was prolly cold right. Your in Detroit so it was prolly really damn cold https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png Your "newer" battery may not have enough Cold Cranking amps to start your seven in the cold.

Or if none of these things are applicable and it never happens again you may have just left a DC device on while you were out of the car... Lights, stereo, etc...

Hope this helps a little

Yah that helped.Thats what im gonna do first thing tomorrow is get the alternator and battery tested. If I need a battery how many cranking amps do I need, its cold like a mofo out here.I tried to start the TII this morning and it didn't start but it tried to...there was no longer a clicking noise when I tried to turn it over. Can it still be the starter?

Die Hard Gold battery, 900+ amps, and it has a 3 year free replacement warranty and a 100 month pro rated warranty.

Yeah!

There are lots of high amperage batteries out there and a FEW have good warranties. Get one with a good warranty and high COLD CRANKING AMPERAGE and put the receipt in the plastic sealable bag on the side of your battery. I always laughed at how gay that was until I had a battery go bad the first cold snap we had last year. I could not find my receipt at all and was out $70. DOH!

Your joking right?? If you bought it at sears they keep a record of it and you don't need your receipt.

When I bought my car it had a new battery but it went bad, I took it to my autozone and they replaced it without the receipt and it was bought in another state!!

If you don't have a receipt then they check the date on the battery.
