I was thinking of buying a Jdm front clip I was just wondering the difference between the 2 engines. I want to upgade my n/a gxl to a T2. Thanks!

the jdm cars have a couple of little differences.

1. no aws

2. they dont have the electical solenoids on the acv

3. smaller airpump

4. no precat

5. the ecu and wiring harness goes into our drivers side footwell



if it matters a jdm fc will pass a tailpipe smog inspection

So if the JDM engine is basically the same is there any advantages to having it? Any disadvantages(ie its harder to repair or get parts for...)?

 

the actual engine is exactly the same. the only differences are in the emissions

i know that they are different like that exaust from japan engine is bigger the port and i hear that the turbor is bigger too!!!!!

 

you hear wrong. they dont have a precat. the turbo is exactly the same ans so is the rest of the exhaust
