Well the 86-88's are lighter but the 89-91's have more power sooo you will get mixed opinions on this. If I wanted to build something up for performance I'd go with an S4 T2 and looks an S5 T2.

s4 with a s5 motor, JUST LIKE MY CAR!!! involves a little work, If i had to choose between the two cars, I'd choose the one that was best taken care of. You can turn the car into whatever you want it to be.

you pick up a project car that sat for like 6 years in an old womans drive way. ( like i did) and you got ALL KINDS OF TROUBLES.... (i admit i had it coming... and a project car is what i was looking for) but the interior is all baked to hell. You can tell that the body has gone through some salty illinois winters. so i've got alot of work a head of me and still a ton of electrical problems. but i like my s4 t2.

a simple T2 will do... it might be hard to find one around your area anyway.

many arguements over this... in the end it is the 88's, doesn't matter which model, but of course t2 if you wanna go fast and n/a if you want a car that will run for 15 years.... but i'm kinda biased...hehe
