Hey guys, My car is all better mechanically, so now im gettting

the rest of the car up to scratch. When I was pulling bits and pieces

apart I noticed that there was one of these weird things under each

vent, do you know what they are used for? or if you even need them?

Also, is there an online parts listing for FCs? So you can order spares

from mazda with the right part no.

They look like little air gasket type deals, they just prevent leakage of heat or a/c from the ducting...thats my guess...what vents did they go behind?

they attach the defroster grill ducts to the dash. They usually break off, no big deal. The ducts usually stay in the general area of the hole in the dash, so your good.

define cheap. I've seen those for sale for what I would call a ripoff, so I've held off on getting them, and just settled for the gaping hole...any link to where they are cheap?

just like rotoryman88 said they are to stop leaks in the vents. if you don't mind the leaks, then scrap them.
