At what temp is the oil cooler t-stat supposed to open? (or close)

Default At what temp is the oil cooler t-stat supposed to open? (or close)

I've got a couple extra FC oil coolers, I was planning on using one as a tranny fluid cooler on my bronco.

Well, the FSM says the valve should protrude 5 mm when heated in oil to 65 C. (149 F.). Whether that's the same temperature that it could be said to "open", well, I can't say for sure.
