I know I was back when I had my 92 240sx. I had some ADR's on it, along with various other things. They stopped making that style though, the closest thing they make now are the M Sports. The rims looked good on it though, silver 17x7's. couldnt beat the price at the time. I picked them up for $300 from a friend who later priced them on some "rare wheel website" for like $3,200. he was kicking himself and so am I now...but oh well, things come and go, especially rims. Nice looking stuff so far, the Rega's set that car off IMO. Black on Black just plain out looks good always. -B. |
Ya those regas look good on that car, they look kinda like older skool rims that match the car,
where as some of the new rims just dont seem to fit on 80's cars very well |
i got 3rd gen rims on my car right now. im loving it. 16x8 and only 15 lbs! i'll try nd gget some pics up
|
You guys think maybe Watanabe's might look good under my blue GXL? I have been looking at the Volk GT-C's in 17x8's and 17x9's Silver finish. I currently have S5 GXL 5 stars under it. New tires cant go wrong just yet :-)

rays sebring work equip lookalikes.
16x8, picked up all for for 240 shipped, and bent one. now i can only run a pair. :( Attachment 19963 next time i have $$ and go to the junkyard i plan on grabbing some starion wheels to play with too. |
Cool wheels so far. I found some 17x9/17x10 cobra rims last night. Would these even fit? I know spacers would be a must but how thick would they need to be? 17x9 fronts seem like they would at least require spacers and then over fenders to cover the wheel a little. But then the 17x10 rears...thats pretty damn wide. would look good though.

I am not too keen on offsets and the like but you also mentioned depending on tire size. I dont plan on getting any tires that will be too thick. maybe a 45 series or a 50 series at thickest. the tires will also be no wider than the wheels themselves. they might JUST seat on the rim. maybe someone can show me some pics of a similar application. I have read on a few post where some of you are going so far as a 12'' wide rear be it for drag racing but still. Anyone help me think of some options for the 9''fronts and 10''rears? any info would be cool, thanks -B. |
