Why would'nt you recommend doing so?

The factory ignition system can handle upwards of 400HP. The best mod you can do is leave the factory wires in place with the factory ignition and use a new set of spark plugs.

Maybe I am saying the wrong thing here. What I want is to bump up the output of the spark. Not change the whole system. Sorry for the confusion. Is what I am talking about is maybe a Blaster Coil?

I definately second this. I talked to a few DSM owners and I guess some of them have used our coils due to the high output they offer in the first place. You could run an upgraded controller or something or you could even switch to a whole new setup entirely but I don't find an upgrade of anything but plugs and wires to be an improvement.

I am pushing 500hp using stock coils and 4 NGK (11)s. There is no need to do this other than just because. Unfortunately that seems to be a good enough reason for a lot of you.

Thanks for clearing that up for me!

stock FC coils are better than blaster coils
