AFAIK, the v-band exhaust housing is the way the turbine outlet is made. I know how they look, and I know that if you have one, you have to get a "v-band clamp", but my knowledge stops there.

What exactly is it?

What does the clamp do?

How do you use the clamp?

Whats so great about v-band housings?

taken from cheap turbo. its a specific style of flange and clamp. basically as it gets hotter it seals better. thay are VERY easy to install and remove. basically you can take off your DP and possibly whole exhaust in 30 seconds

v band clamp: a simple device meant to turn the simple operation of making a pipe with a flange into a 3 day ordeal, while making the normally leak free fit, leaky

They leak? But then again, you can take off a dp in 10secs...

i got a V-band on my car and i love it.. it makes it soo much easier to take off the DP and it hasnt been leaking for me. you can take off the DP in like 20 seconds. I dont think ill put anything other then a V-band clamp on my car.
