What Do You Think Of The Knight Spots Style Hood

Yea those rivits or bolts whatever they are look absolutely terrible! If everything was molded on I'd buy one.
If the duct was farther forward( Mazdaspeed style), for venting the radiator, I would buy one in a heartbeat. Those of us FC owners who do have money are usually all about speed.

[quote name='rotaryextreme' date='Oct 2 2003, 08:31 PM'] [quote name='teknics' date='Oct 2 2003, 04:48 AM'] and honestly, i think the knightsport hood is oogly and for now it doesnt work with my tmic either which is another downfall.
maybe just the pic you have on your site of that hood is oogly because the reverse vent looks like taped on or something, doesnt look attached to the hood, then again i havent seen pics of the hood from anywhere else so that could be how they all look.

That's how it looks when it's painted. The center duct is removable.
When I took the picture, I didn't bolt the center duct onto the hood so it just lays on there.
Knight Sports makes another duct to work with the stock mount IC but I didn't buy it.
It really looks that bad? I guess I will be stuck with them forever.

hmm it doesnt really look too bad painted.
any pics of it without the duct at all?
maybe you need more/better pics to sell it, cuz honestly the pic you took doesnt do it justice .
i'd be willing to grab one of those when it comes time to repaint my car (after injectors, ic, and haltech which i should have before 2004) so since you cant sell them i wont bother you until the time comes that i need it ..unless you make an re-a hood or something

Here is the pic of the hood without the scoop. The reason it was made that way because some people have the front mount and some have the stock mount. This way you can swap the scoop without buying a new hood. I don't think any one will want to buy another hood if they change from stock mount to front mount.
Your bodyshop can easily mold the scoop onto the hood if you want that one piece look.

Is there any way to move the center scoop forward about 6 - 12", If you did that I think it would be slammin. Other than that its still looks pretty cool, but i'd rather have the center scoop serve a purpose than be decorative. Most people don't have allot of money to dress up there cars IMO, I think that thats one of the reasons they buy the rx7 because it really doesn't matter whether you have a body kit or not. It looks good either way.
Knight Sports uses the same hood on their FC race car.

Hey Chuck, make a headlight kit like this for the 2nd Gen. You have the lights and I can make you the brackets. The only thing stopping me from making these kits are the new shorter arms that attach to the headlight motors that are required.
