I have the knight sports style 2nd gen vented hood made for over a year already but so far I sold none. Before that, I have some FC owners expressing their interest in a replica of this hood but after it's done, I have no sales. Right now I am dropping price of the hood to $500 and still have no sales, while the other guy on the forum having 15 buyers on their Mazdaspeed style hood for 2nd gen which is not even done. Their price on the hood is not cheaper, either.

Please help me out here. I want to sell more 2nd gen stuff but I don't know what went wrong that I have no sales.

You have to realize that most FC owners don't have much money to spend on their cars. There are the minority hardcore owners that will dump money into their cars, but most go cheapstyle. People generally buy FC's because they are cheap to buy to begin with. I'll be getting rid of my stock hood for something vented in the future, but right now I'm broke.

and honestly, i think the knightsport hood is oogly and for now it doesnt work with my tmic either which is another downfall.

maybe just the pic you have on your site of that hood is oogly because the reverse vent looks like taped on or something, doesnt look attached to the hood, then again i havent seen pics of the hood from anywhere else so that could be how they all look.

to tell you the truth, I went to your site after your last post about the fc2000 bumper and looked at hoods, I saw the KS hood and thought oh my that is one of the ugliest fiberglass hoods I've seen.

I want a hood similar to what the new NSX Type-R has, with the duct for the radiator... I'll probably end up making it myself out of CF.

That's how it looks when it's painted. The center duct is removable.

When I took the picture, I didn't bolt the center duct onto the hood so it just lays on there.

Knight Sports makes another duct to work with the stock mount IC but I didn't buy it.

It really looks that bad? I guess I will be stuck with them forever.

hmm it doesnt really look too bad painted.

any pics of it without the duct at all?

maybe you need more/better pics to sell it, cuz honestly the pic you took doesnt do it justice .

i'd be willing to grab one of those when it comes time to repaint my car (after injectors, ic, and haltech which i should have before 2004) so since you cant sell them i wont bother you until the time comes that i need it ..unless you make an re-a hood or something

If the center scoop was centered or atleast molded in it would look better. I dont wanna hood on my car that looks like it has a $15 summit Scoop bolted on ot it. imo

Is there any way to move the center scoop forward about 6 - 12", If you did that I think it would be slammin. Other than that its still looks pretty cool, but i'd rather have the center scoop serve a purpose than be decorative. Most people don't have allot of money to dress up there cars IMO, I think that thats one of the reasons they buy the rx7 because it really doesn't matter whether you have a body kit or not. It looks good either way.

Yea those rivits or bolts whatever they are look absolutely terrible! If everything was molded on I'd buy one.
