Founda great deal on a n/a S5 engine, and I was going to get a new engine anyways for my 88 Vert N/A. Do yout hink it will be the hassle of finding the ecu and wiring harness to swap it out?

I would just drop it in and run premix. Then add on a little rpm board to activate the VID and six ports.



Just a thought. Some stuff will not just plug in, like part of the old harness (s4) into the s5 ecu.

Just use the short block. Put all of your S4 stuff on, including the front cover/OMP and enjoy.

This is the only problem other than the front cover/OMP issue when using S4 parts to make a S5 short block long:
