What Did I Miss?
I bought a 90 GTUs in September of last year, from the original owner. They did not notice the lack of power. The six ports were stuck shut.
I tore the intake down clean the six ports, the actuating shaftes were carboned and would not turn.
While it was down i sent the injectors out for flow testing and cleaning. The secondaries were drip only.
Massive carbon in the lower intake runners. All new gaskets, silcone hose replaced all vacum lines, and replaced all o rings. i installed the pineapple insterts while i was there. And today i bought 2 sets of fresh plugs and a battery. I did not remove the CSU. The only other things i have done since the last time it ran was install a new clutch (still had the original @ 122K) brake pads, master and steel braded lines.
Motor spins fine, has compression, has spark, has fuel. Even did the ATF unflood procedure, still no start, not even a mis fire or almost start. Double checked all electrical connects and vacum lines.
My 79 can be a bear to un flood and start, but i do not know why this one refuses to fire.
Ideas? yes, the AFM is connected.

I will have to drag Brian over from Pcola and have him take a look. Maybe i will see the problem tomorrow. One day of finish the assembly, and one day of why will it not run.. I have a new clutch to seat, brakes to use and electric fan to adjust....
Yes rotating the AFM 180 will have an affect. Try putting it back to where it was originally positioned. As for the other stuff, did you change or disconnect your fuel lines? If so, check to see that the feed line(one coming from filter) is connected to your primary fuel rail and that your return line(one coming from metal line on the fire wall) is connected to your secondary fuel rail and that the return line ( one coming from oil filler neck) is going to the metal fitting that comes from the charcoal canister.
The AFM was on correctly. i had the fuel hoses reversed.
It sputtered and then flooded. I did the ATF treatment, but no go as of yet. Will try again tomorrow, tired of cleaning plugs.
