My 88 gxl is a weird maroon metalic color. I'm wondering if this is a factory color because I am having difficulty finding touch up paint for it. The engine bay is maroon as well as under the carpet, so it must have been some sort of maroon to begin with. The exterior might be a diferent shade though. Any ideas?

Yea, I'm trying to decide if mine's maroon or not.. It looks good and bright redish under the carpet in the hatch..

Mine is definately some sort or maroon. I was trying to find something at the local autoparts store to match. I couldn't find any mazda maroons listed in the duplicolor catalog.

In my brochure or whatever for my car, I think I remember seeing maroon before.. but, I can't remember if someone just wrote it down or if it was offical or whatever..

I tried matching paint can tops to the paint and found one that was pretty close. Need to fix a chunk that pealed when Vosko push started the car with a truck.
