i need one for the T2...........decisions decisions. all my roomates say N1 single. i was trying to get something used but its hard to find!!!!

RSR GTII

RB

Apexi N1 single

ummm any other ones ?

relisys190 09-23-2003 01:57 PM

I'd say either the RB or the Apexi N1... i guess it also depends on price difference (and how empty you want you wallet to be after the purchase)

BTW, buying a used exhaust/muffler setup sounds good.. new units are WAY overpriced.

I have an Apex'i GT single cat back that I'm debating whether to sell or not. PM me with an offer if you are interested.

neevosh 09-23-2003 02:21 PM

I just took off my JIC Twin Spartan and it sounded awesome. I replaced it with a single 5Zigen Rocket. The single is so much louder then the dual. I couldn't believe the difference. Now my car sounds like every other straight piped rotary.

vosko 09-23-2003 02:28 PM

i might go with a 5zigen exhaust too!

its all up in the air. trying not to spend $500 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

MazdaEnthused 09-23-2003 04:05 PM

CORKSPORT= cheap and great sounding .... www.corksport.com i am impressed with their stuff... and am going to get rid of the n/a piping on my t2 for the corksport soon as i get my engine running a little better (not breaking belts and stuff)

FrestyleFC3S 09-23-2003 04:08 PM

errrrr...corksport sounds like farting

im gonna go with rsr gt2 when i get the money and get around to it

MazdaEnthused 09-23-2003 04:16 PM

well i am one that wants my exhaust note to... stand out... i know a little ricey but...

vosko 09-23-2003 04:17 PM

its up in the air. i am not sure yet

FrestyleFC3S 09-23-2003 04:22 PM

I actually have the CS on my car and really like the sound, it is pretty deep. I have a 2.5" DP, 3 " hiflo cat , and the CS catback

Apex13B 09-23-2003 06:31 PM

Who sells RSR now...i thought that it wasnt available in the US anymore?

I'd go for the Apex'i n1 single

Rob x-7 09-23-2003 08:12 PM

isnt that apex single a bit large and ricey?

MazdaEnthused 09-23-2003 08:12 PM

i will in a few pay checks after my turbo timer... and prob. right before my blow off valve

FCmaniac 09-23-2003 08:23 PM

RB!! The Apex and CS are loud fartcans

1Revvin7 09-23-2003 09:26 PM

Too bad racingbeats mufflers are almost as much as the damn catback itself https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/dry.png . I personally plan on making my own 3" all the way out using a Borla XR-1 mufflers as a midpipe, and probably an n1 single can..

TYSON 09-23-2003 09:46 PM

Vosko, just have one made at an exhaust shop using a Borla muffler. It will cost less and be more low-key looking.

Yea I don't understand why people buy exhaust online, its SUPER cheap to make your own, I mean yourself, and if you can't and exhaust shop can have it done up for 1/2.

RS*R looks and sounds great (lost the clip)

4RotorRocket 09-23-2003 10:22 PM

Someone post a pic of the RSR GT2 catback

vosko 09-23-2003 10:23 PM

my problem is i sorta need something on there.........to continue fixing the car!!!!! its soo fuckign loud can't even let it idle for a while.......

TYSON 09-23-2003 10:37 PM

Stab many holes in coffee can, stuff with steel wool, wire to midpipe. Good enough for idling in garage and driving to real muffler shop. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Try this company. Great prices. Look under performance muffler/stainless section.

ECKO1980 09-24-2003 02:31 PM

This is the only pic on my computer of the CS on my car, and it was right after I put it on so its crooked due to old ass POS exhaust doughnuts! lol

I dont know what Borla mufflers you guys are using, but mine are too loud thats for sure.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ( did I say how much I love? ) the sound of racingbeat mufflers. You get what you pay for.

Racing beat turbo back system.

btw the old racing beat units were made by RSR

the new ones are ???? no clue... but i like the old ones better...

ALso custom made mandrel bent SS with 3 borla XR-1 mufflers (1 for presilencer) is more $$$ then complete RB turbo back.

Hence i'm going with that in the spring.

I think we have a winner! I am currently running nothing but straight pipe between the turbo and a single Borla XR-1. Sure, you won't mistake it for a Bentley, but unless you have your foot in it, you won't get the law's attention either. Cheap and effective. A perfect marriage!

I say make one from mandrel bends, straight and a muffler of your choice.

Cheep

Easy

Better than most "kits"

Bad ass cause you made it your self for 1/10 the cost of a "kit" https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I made my whole mandrel exhaust from turbo to tip for 80 bucks.

Jims5543 09-24-2003 09:29 PM

Apexi N-1 single - very very happy.

Mazdadrifter is thinking the Corksport setup. My bro has it on his GXl it is hella loud. I think it will sound nice on a turbo car with a presilancer though.
