Only today I remembered to ask my welder friend about steel-aluminum, he said no good, but did mention ( as someone else did ), about there being some rod out there that allows this, but having no expierence with it first hand, stainless-steel you can do though.

I called up my old boss back in CA to ask him how he was doing it. He said it depended, he was using a helium argon mix but there's also these rods. I think I mentioned them before, they have a web site

There was a radiator shop back in CA that welded aluminum all the time, used to take oil coolers over to em.

I asked a welder you bafoon, and I posted when he said, of course he can weld aluminum, but he cant weld aluminum to steel- he also mentioned the special rods-but had not used them first hand. Stainless steel to steel you can do.....didnt I say this already? Do you ever have anything of importance to say? LOL
