Weird Problem
OK my car was really shakey at idel around 700-800 bouncing. I was working on checking my mounts and decided to check the vac lines, and I took off the preassure sensor line that I have going to the vac nipple on the LIM facing the pass side strut tower and put a new line. I had to move the car and noticed the engine was ideling at like the 800 mark but smooth and constant. No lumping around nothing and I could reve it up to 7000 RPM and let off and it would go down straight to 800 and stay there. before it would go to almost stall then go back up after the rev up.
I went back under the hood and noticed I left the preassure sensor disconected from the vac source with the engine running. I pluged it back in and the rpm stayed the same but the engine started lumping all over the place. i took it off smooth as silk. now I put my finger on the nipple (
) and it started lumping again. WTF is going on with that it is almost like it wants a vacume leak.

My car does the exact same thing. I think the pressure sensor is bad because if I really rev the engine the check engine flickers on. When i check the codes, they are for the pressure sensor. I also have an a/f gauge and the mixture is extremely erratic with the hose on. If i take it off it runs stoich then richens under accelerations. So basically, a bad pressure sensor is probably causing the rough idle.
but check this out if I plug the nipple with my finger where the preassure sensor goes the bad idel starts again. meaning it might not be the preassure sensor becuase even if it was good the sec. i plug in the vac source it will destabalize the idel.
