Probably not an air pocket but it's an easy check, if the whole of the rad isn't hot that's how you'll know.

hes not taking any work at the moment i dont think.

plus it had o blow after a big i spend a bunch of money.

turns otu crazy guy down the street from me has a turbo motor with like 40k on it sitting around.

sitting for a year or two, but he said he fogged it and kept it wrapped up cause he put a streetported motor in his car instead.

if thats any good then ill throw a na flywheel on it and be back in business.

if not, i got a few other leads on other used motors. meh.

oh and i forgot, putting the rear tray back on fixed the overheating.

crazy guys motor down the street, looks good. nice compression all around, clean, good shape.

its been sitting with the flywheel and front main pully loose.

any way i can check the torringitrontgintgitgn bearing that can drop witht he pully loose with the oilpan off from the bottom? or do i have to tear into the front cover?

teknics 05-17-2007 08:34 AM

i think colin told me with the counterweight on the front in the just right position you can see if the torrington bearings are where they're supposed to be.

BTW you can get great deals on recently rebuilt but barely used motors, I've bought 3 in the past year or less, most expensive one was $1500, and they all have perfect compression and tons of work done to them.

kevin.
