so on the way home from the track yesterday, car starts acting up.

at speed, the temp gauge jsut rises slowly up to h. if i pull off and let it sit and idle it cools right back down. but as soon as i get going again it starts overheating.

I pulled the bumper off and it seemed like it went away completely.

It makes me think i need ducting, but its never ran hot anywhere at all before now, even on real real hot days.

any ideas besides duct the **** out of it and maybe cut the bumper? just wondering if some componant failing causes the same symptoms, just in case its not jsut ducting.

check the clutch fan too! For added help drain ALL the coolant out, and run 2 bottles REDLINE water wetter and straight water. It noticably dropped my temp.

have an taurs fan, wire it to high halfway home to see if it helps.

already have water wetter and mostly water.

i think it was just not having the undertray, all the air went through the ic and then under the car. its back on now, ill have to ziptie the bumper back on and take it for a spin. the s4 bumper opening is just not big enough to let enough air through.

loose belt mine does it all the time,

yea possible loose belt, possibly ducting. remember lee, now your coolant also has to go through the turbo so its getting hotter then it used to.
