swapped in a walbro i had laying around for fun.

ran great for a while. didnt backfire nearly as much as it did with the other pump.

made a hard left around the roundabout by me, and after that, it started bogging every now and again at part throttle

and at 5-6k WOT it cuts out like a rev limiter. if i give it anything less then pedal to the floor it goes through all rpms fine. but with the pedal on the floor it cuts out at 5-6k like a rev limiter.

fuel filter maybe? im not sure.

hummm.. with most of these problems it either spark OR fuel....

This one sounds like fuel... and if the pump isn't the problem I would check the filter for sure.

If that doesn't do the trick i would check out the injectors. I have heard of part throttle roughness and jumpyness from just having a crack in the injector cap...

This thread is really interesting and great for troubleshooting, I really wanna know what is plaguing your car!!!

ive ran with a cracked cap on the secondary before, so i know what that feels like.

i only fucked with the secondaries when i pulled the uim, so even if i broke one of those it wouldnt explain the part throttle cruising stuff.

it was tshirt weather yesterday, and now its back to nasty cold so who knows when i can mess with it some more.

replaced the fuel filter.

***** still there.

it seems worse at part throttle now all the time, although i couldnt make it cut out at wot high rpms in my drive around the block.

im starting to think tps or clogged cat, the tps is the only thing i changed when i fixed the idle, because the old one was all corroded and this one was clean looking.

it adjusted to 1v fine and i couldnt find any dead spots in it, so really im not sure.

i dont think the O2 is hooked up, if that could even make a difference?

pulled the pump, tank is fine, no rust, gas is clear and debris free. sock is also just as it went it.

it seems like it only does it after ive driven it a few minutes and it warms up a bit.

tps setting is dead on 1v warmed up at idle.

O2 is plugged in.

i cant wait till this megasquirt is here so i dont have to **** with this.

Yeah, it's a controlled environment with more features, and it's pretty addicting.

so i was gutting the front carpet and while under the dash i find theres a switch on the gas pedal itself, and whatever it was for, the plug to it was unplugged.

no idea if it affected anything cause cant drive a car with no seats.

i started it but it just smoked at me and coolant buzzed at me so i shut it off.

meh.
