Water Pump Leak

you need 10mm for the fan, 10mm for the pulleys, 10,12, 14, 17, 19? to get the belts off, then 12mm to pull the pump off. the only tricky part is that there is a gasket between the water pump housing and the engine, and you need to be careful to not seperate it without noticing.

a mechanic will probably charge you about $65 to do the job, maybe

bring it to one.

hate to see the poor guy start on the thing and then not even be able to drive it to get a pros help. Hopefully he has a good mechanical sense.

From what ive heard i guess what im going to do is just let my mech do it cuz i dont want to mest up and like rob said not finishing and then not being able to take it to a mech

but where so i get this pump from??.....not mazda

any auto parts store, check with a auto parts store to see how much the pump is, then call your mechanic and see how much he would charge to do the pump and supply it.

well i got the quote and the water pump is 85 $$$

is it worth it to get a new or just go ahead and get a used one for a lot less?????



the mech will be pretty cheap

get a new one, no way would I bother putting a used water pump on.
