My water pump has been leaking a while. Today I removed it and found that the water was leaking out of a hole in the side of the pump housing. Do I need a new one or can I fix this?

Thanks

clean up the hole and put some jb weld. You have to check to make sure it is not coming out of the pulley area check for play. and make or buy a gasket and you should be straight. But if you got the $$$ to put a new one put it on since it is out. Save you the headache latter on when the water starts coming out of the pulley

I'd rather do a quick fix right now. Money is kind of short right now. Thanks.

its leaking out of that hole because its shot, dont put JB weld on it,

put a new one on. You took it off, thats 1/2 the job there, just put

a new one on, they are cheap.

Yeah, it's leaking because it's worn out. That's why the weep hole is there, because otherwise you wouldn't know it was worn until it failed completely.

Yes, with a rotary, do you really want to half *** the cooling system?
