Water On Floor

The car has been in a garrage for the last 2 months and the other day I noticesd that the drivers side floor was wet is this where the heater core usualy leaks to??? could it be something else?? .........................Mostly how hard is it to replace the heater core and where under the dash is it located?

If it dont stink like antifreeze then its probably just a water leak. I dont think the heater core will dump water there, but I could be wrong.

ive never seen an fc dump water out of the heater core before, its possible but usually they have a slow leak? could it be water from the ac condenser?

plus the condensor is on the passenger side .. lol ripped that sucker out not too long ago..

The condensor is in front of the radiator. The evaporator is in the dash on the passenger side.



The heater core is more towards the middle of th dash, unsure where it would dump to if it began to leak.



On a side note, my mom's Mustang just had the heater core go out at 60k miles (wonderful, huh?). Good thing it was under warranty - and a good thing it has it's own little weep hole that drains out the firewall instead of the interior.

What drain hose?



Havent gotten a chance to really find out whats going on but should there be any difference in heatercores between a car with A/C and no A/C?? if theres no difference I have a good heater core in my parts car still not looking forward to taking the dash appart........well if thats what it is

all the heater cores are the same. might be different s4 to s5 though
