I've been looking to get the wastegate on my 87 TII ported, but it might be a little expensive as I have no idea how to do this, plus I wouldn't trust myself anyways. Would it just be better to buy a whole new/used unit? Nobody around here really does porting. The guy I go to says he can do it, but it might take some time and would have to do it during down time bla bla bla....Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks dudes.

It takes all of maybe 15-20 minutes to do.

If you don;t mind me asking, how much did someone quote you to do that?

Just do that yourself man... key is, dont go larger then the wastegate itself. There is plenty of room to port the s4 wg.... you'd do it just fine...

It just takes a little time and effort, but it's really simple. There's no reason you can't do it yourself.
