so, have any of you ported your wastegates yourself?

I did it on my old stock 87 turbo. Were you looking for a walkthrough or...?

I'm thinking of doing the same. Hell, I ain't proud. Can ya walk me through it?

The benefit of the wastegate porting would be less chance of boost creep. After doing this to mine I didnt get boost creep at ALL, but I also ported mine so large I suspect a little boost was leaking at all times.





The turbine exhaust inlet porting, in conjunction with removing the twin scroll, got me the 1psi back that I lost in the wastegate porting.



So whereas before, it would be at 5 in gears 1 and 2, then spike to 7 or almost 8 in 3-5, after the work was done it would be above 6 in gears 1-2 and close to 7 through the rest.
