My warning lights are pretty messed up. First of all, the wiring is probably bad because if I hit a bump, sometimes various lights (like the E-brake light and seatbelt light) will go off, despite the fact that they have no actual problem. The clock randomly shorts out and resets itself, then comes back on every once and awhile. Plus, the things are so dirty that you could probably plant a small garden in there. Are there good replacements for these? Or should I go with stock Mazda replacements? Of course, I plan to replace the wiring for it, too. I was kinda hoping there was a really neat looking replacement that wasn't overly expensive.

Thumbs down

if you want to fix it, look in the electrical section ( i think, it's here somewhere for sure )

on how to re-solder the bad connections.....other than that, i know nothing!

If it's that dirty then the connections are probably in awful shape. Get back there and snoop around, see what you can see.

I converted my 86/87 style to the 88 and up style warning light cluster. I had to rearrange a few wires to get the proper readouts. But while I was at it I found out that some of the sensors themselves were faulty and causing them to randomly go off. I thought it might have been the unit itself but I got the 88+ style with uncracked black bezel for 10 bucks, so I figured I might as well throw it in..

Just my experience.
