hay guys i think my car is flooded cuz im smelling gas and it wont start..i know that to unflood it you need to take off the spark plugs but.... the guy that i got my motor from put on some spark plugs that i cant fit a socket in between the wall and the plug so i was wondering if theres any other way to get it unflooded.?

you dont have to take out the plugs, but it is recommended that you change them after it gets flooded. to unflood take the EGI fuse out of the main fuse block and crank it for about 10 seconds then stop. the first time crank it for 10 seconds 2 or 3 times then put the fuse back in and see if it will start. if it doesnt start try it again but only do 1 ten second cranking before letting off and putting the fuse back in to try to start it.





i think mazdatrix sells a special socket for your spark plug problem





oh, this will kill your battery, make sure you have some cables and someone to give you a jump. also, make sure you dont crank for longer than about 10 seconds, its bad for the starter.

theres the page with that socket. Ive never had that problem with either car so i dont know what circumstances cause it, like which spark plugs, engines, etc. Ive always used the stock plugs and a normal socket

yea but its 75 bucks umm ok the fuze is the green one right and im sopost to take it off and tehn try starting it for 10 sec tehn put back on and try turning it on and if it does turn on try it again right jsut makin sure

Just pull the 6 wire connector under the steering column, it's the fuel pump relay connector. Crank the motor over until she catches and quickly plug teh connector back in.



BTW you don't need new plugs just take a propane torche and clean the tips with the flame.

ok so that 6 wire is like connected to this yellow hook up right ?

yeah its a black and yellow relay but its kind of a pain to get to.
