The Old style plate has the arms BACK so they clear the lip
The stock S4/S5 flywheel has CUTAWAYS in the flywheel lip to clear the arms of the pressure plate because the S4/S5 pressure plate arms are FLUSH with the friction surface and the old style they are NOT Here is what I mean |

Excuse my swearing in my first few posts..
I have been seriously stressed trying to get this car together then the clutch not fitting really threw me off the handle.. I started this thread before I had a chance to cool down... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
Naturally I was worried about other things as well now!!
I bolted a transmission to the motor, layed it down flat, and tested the starter to make sure it was hitting the flywheel ring gear just fine and cranking over. No problems there. Starter motor works flawlessly with the flywheel.. As it should be! But can you blame me for testing before installing the damn motor?! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
um i'm gonna say no?

Mike! Can you say off hand if your pressure plate from your RB flywheel is 8.5" or 9.5"? It's for an N/A right?
