Hey guys, I just bought A Turboxs Type-s Bov For my 87 TII And im wondering if there is a way to install it without welding. I don't know if i want to weld it to the ic piping because im not sure if im going to use the bov forever. Can't i just install it where the stock bov is? If anyone could help i'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Anthony.

you should be able to buy a flange seperatly to weld onto your piping, so that you can just bolt on the bov.

I was just trying to get around the whole welding part.

Thanks,

Anthony

you might be able to find a pipe on ebay with the flange already welded on

you can find those pipes on ebay for the blitz and hssq, maybe for the turboxs as well. there is more selection if you look for ones for a 240sx, same size tube, slightly longer length (which is where the hack-saw comes in)

I've never dealt with their products before, but I'm assuming it came with a flange that's separate from the BOV? If not, get one. Take that flange and have a shop weld a piece of 3/4 inch (19mm) dia. pipe to the flange, maybe 1-1.5 inches long, and have them flare the lip if they can. Bolt that flange up to the BOV and and plug the stock BOV hose into your new adapter. Mount it wherever you like. Don't forget to plug your airbox.

This is like what i am trying to do but i just can't figure out how to attach The little cylinder adapter that comes with the Turbo xs bov to the hose comming from the intercooler piping to the stocK bov. That's my big problem.

That looks to be a very poor atempt at an upgrade, do things right or dont do them. If you cant have it done becuase of money restraints go with what you have till you can afford the modifications required to do the upgrade right.
