The spacer between the LIM on the FC and the FD UIM costs a few hundred bucks. It's all possible. But is it worth it? Survey says ----- NO!!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.png

A properly sized turbo will boost torque more than horsepower, just look at the 5v audi 1.8t motor

I made a few of these FC LIM to FD UIM adaptors, PM me if interested.

Whats sequential twin turbo mean?

How is that any diff than one turbo or normal twin turbos?

Basically i understand single turbo and twin turbo like they have on the 300zx, one turbo for each 3 cyclinders. Is this any different?

Mazda FD3S sequential twin turbo:

primary turbo comes in line from the beginning, lower rpm. Using all exhaust engery to spool only one turbo, thus spools very quickly.

once rpm goes up, where there is enough exhaust engergy to spool both turbos, a control door opens up, providing both turbo the exhaust gas, spinning both, flows more air.

other common sequential setup:

have a smaller and a bigger turbo. the smaller will spool faster, and increase the volumetric efficiency, increase exhaust flow. The bigger turbo will then start to spool when the exhaust energy increases.
