this is about the 10th forum ive posted this problem on and still no real answers, nobody seems to know whats going on, so lets try this one more time...

lets start out with the engine and everything added to it

S5 NA engine

TII s4 turbo

550cc low imp. injectors

4 port

street ported

safc

stock s5 na ecu

Two TII intercoolers welded together, making one Front mount intercooler

car runs fine untill the problem just occurs

the problem:

stalling, and then not starting back up for a long period of time

the stalling occurs when its at normal operating temp, not cold, and not overheating

the stalling also occurs more frequently when turning a corner.

if you wanna know a story about stalling an FC and not starting back up in the tunnel between canada and michigan... let me know.. well thats ur story so you dont have to ask... but im very confused, and have called around to mazda dealers tuning factorys and everything and so far have gotten nothing.

any help or direction to some help would be amazing, thank you in advance

s5 na 4port? na motors are 6 port unless you used na rotors with t2 irons. just a bit confused with that. as far as your stallin man, sorry im not goin to open my mouth and say anything with out lookin at the car or your set up . what a/f is it at when it stalls out? are the coils over heating are the injectors over heating and shutting down, is your fuel pump on its way out . there are many many things that can aid to this problem. i know on my fc i had a fuel pump relay that heated up would shut down the pump then after a few moments and sometimes hours would cool enuff to work again. though i run a stand alone and exturnal relays so my problem may differ from yours. about the only solid thing i can tell ya is good luck man and let us know whats up.

well as far as the 4 port goes, it was rebuilt by some shop in toronto, and the 5th and 6th port are no longer used due to the fact that they have nothing to do with turbo applications, so whatever the shop did to turn it 4 port, they did it.

as far as the fuel pump relay.... how would i go about replacing that, cuz that sounds almost exactly my problem, because its running an FD fuel pump for the extra fuel, but when you said the relay heats up and shuts your pump down well id imagine that when it stall it kinda sounds like its choking itself out. which is what mine does

How much fuel is in the tank? It could be caused by cavitation of the fuel pump, due to low fuel level, or a clogged intank filter. This is a well known cause of stalling when turning a corner.

if its na there shouldnt be a resistor realy doodad, unless they hacked one into the stock wiring.

if its stalling and not starting for a while, it almost sounds like its rich enoguh to die and flood.

but youre not really giving much detail. does it jsut up and stall out of nowhere int he middle of driving? or when you come down to idle or what?
