Okay, here is my plan... I think it will work...

I'm going to turbo charge my 13B N/A Yes I know the CR is 9.4:1 but unlike what I have seen people do in the past, I think it can be done with 13BT parts.

So I have a turbo intake manifold that I'm doing to cut for the 6 ports so it will bolt right up (no adapter on the exhaust manifold to clear the 6 ports).

Has anyone done this before? It seems like much easier than the turbo adapter and all of that. I wanted to keep the 6 ports for the additional intake timing.

I will tap the front housing for the oil feed to the turbo (like the factory). Haven't yet decided on the oil return but probably install a Turbo front cover for the oil return. I will be running the 550cc injectors that I already have, Haltech E6K and a 93 front mounted intercooler.

yes I have seen a port matched turbo2 uim to a n/a lim, someone on here has done it, he has some pixs of it too, very nice way to turbo an n/a motor.

let us know how it goes....what drivetrain are you using..i heard that the n/a driveline self-destructs with a turbo setup (increased torque?)

dac, I wish you luck in your project. I may also follow this path sometime down the road, I look forward to seeing the results!

An E6K controlled 6 port 13B w/turbo will definately be a fun project, and shouldnt be too difficult to keep alive with the fine level of control you have using the E6K.

It would be nice if you could keep a running tab of the costs for the conversion, it will likely be useful for others considering the turbo2 swap into their NA chassis, I'm also curious if your drivetrain will survive the torque increase.

j9fd3s thanks for the link!

I do plan to do a full jspec build up in the near future. I still think the 6 port end housing will give more power over a 4 port motor. There is additional timming and additional port velocity with the 2 smaller round ports. The center plates on the 6 port engine just place suck. So I think a combination of 6 port and 4 port will be used for my new motor.

Anyway, meanwhile:

This is a under $400 project... I bought a Turbo and Exhaust Manifold, intake manifold. I need to get a downpipe, which I am looking to get a CORKSPORT one (which is $170) of this budget. Might be able to get 1/2 that from my nearly new N/A header.

As for my Tranny. it's already making bearing noise. I don't think it likes the current power being put through it, which I am guessing is about 180 HP. I'll be replacing it with a Turbo 5 speed soon.

Yes it's in a Suzuki Sidekick (not a Samurai)... But imagine the look on ol' mr. Honda rice boys face when he just got wacked by a Sidekick. PRICELESS
