While I was over at setzep's house, we examined my compressor wheel. It seems to have about 1/16-1/8" back and forth play, and a lot of side to side, I can't tell if its hitting the compressor housing, but its damn close. Especially vs setzep's turbo.. This might explain why my boost takes such a long time to come on, I hit 6psi by 6k in 3rd gear Setzep's td07 hits like 10psi by 3.2(ish) k in 3rd gear.

So maybe its time to save for a to4S

That's similar to my experience with my turbo. I'm pretty sure it was never rebuilt, and has 100k miles on it. Then one day at the strip it starts burping oil on redline shifts. There was no end play, but about 1/8" side to side--not quite enough to rub the housing. Even with a very free intake and exhaust, I could not get the thing to boost over 8 psi. I'm hoping the rebuild does a lot better.

Why would you want a busted turbo? Im going to swap with a stocker to see if that solves the problem, but its strange becuase there is no smoke what-so-ever
