my car is really gettin on my nerves- we have a love hate relationship. at first my boost gauge didnt work at all. now, i've hooked it all up and i see it working but it really pisses me off. my car will shoot up from vacuum to neutral and go no further. not a single pound of boost will go in. im thinkin wastegate but i dunno what or how to check it. just thought i'd ask some of you experts... thanks for lookin.

Look to make sure the wastegate rod is connected the wastegaste swing arm. The rod is held onto the swing arm by a small c-clip. This clip likes to fall off, and the rod usually slips off as well. This results in the wastegate just flapping around. It will boost, but it will feel like a t72000 trying to spool up.

yeah, with a leak at the turbo. i dont think a leak is gonna let out enough exhaust to not give me any boost though or would it?

Even with my wastegate arm disconnet I can easily make boost. That is not your problem. Even when my old motor had a couple broken apex seals, and a blown turbo it still made boost at 6k rpms. A clogged cat will cause slow spool. I would check that out 1st.

if your cats are clogged it wont make any boost/power and dont trust the stock guage, verify it works first
