#1
Anyone know where i may be able to find a picture or manual that has a 88-89 turbo broken down. I need to make sure I have all the correct components for a trubo rebuilt. I also want to make sure I put them in correctly. Thanx in advance

Thank you for your concern...I like taking risks. We all have to learn to save. I can't keep giving my money away so easy. Trial and error makes for a good mentor for the next person willing to learn.
So the questions still stands.....Anyone know where I can find a broken down picture of an 88 or 89 TII turbo.
Thank You

well, the thing with rebuilding turbos is that you need to be VERY careful that you keep everything balanced and spinning freely, cause altho the engine will probably not see upwards of 8000 RPM, the turbo can spin at more than 20,000, and if its not balanced, it can literally blow apart, shake itself to pieces and take your engine with it.

there may not be one, the factory manuals just say to replace it as an assembly.
it is very close to a regular t04 though

[/quote] (yah, a lot more) You're only off by a factor of 5 or so. Try more like 100,000 rpm. But yes, the balancing is crucial.
I've never seen a schematic of a stock turbo, but they're pretty much the same as all others. Just follow the rebuild procedure for whatever you can find.
Good luck
