I saw the FC3S.org one at SS6, and I thought that it looked cheap. Looked very flimsy and like it was cut to shape with a hand saw. I also saw the Aerodyne one. Looked really nice. If people don't care about looks, just make one out of cardboard and spraypaint it. That's what I have. It was originally supposed to be a template, but I got lazy and didn't feel like spending money on something I didn't need.

It's not difficult to go to http://aircraftspruce.com or http://fiberglast.com and buy some supplies to make a flat sheet of CF for your car and cut it to fit.

flat sheets are ridiculously easy to make, paying someone else for it is kindof silly, unless the price is damn good with fit and finish at least as good as you can do. (fit and finish is generally a function of time spent on the piece btw, and cheap usually equates minimal time invested when it's from a one man show).

there are plenty of good books available on the subject.

I think Jim had one on his car, sometimes it would get

out of wack and you had to use a screwdriver to pop the hood open.

Not sure if your supposed to screw them down or some ****, but I remember him saying something to the effect having to trim it as well

to fit. It just looked like a thin piece of nothing actually.

If that's FD powered FC Jim then it may have been the one I gave him. I had it laying around and didn't need it. It was the 1st one that was fabed, to fit my car. My car has "special" needs. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png We have sense refined it to a perfect OEM fit.

Did it realy lock up his hood? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png Man!! I think I'm going to fab one just for him (stock OEM Fit) I hate to here that happened. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

That one was mad out of .65 diamond cut aluminum.
