Anyone know how much power a stock '86 rear end can hold? I'm bolting up a SBC to my sport and am wondering how long I can expect to have a usable rear end?

Does anyone by know of a resource for swapping out the stock rear for a solid axle design?

Diego.

Not sure on what power levels/abuse the stock 86 n/a rearend can handle.

Now a t2 diff can handle near 600rwhp, but things like output shafts and halfshafts cannot. Halfshafts are around 400rwhp. Driveshaft.com can make custom chromoly halfshafts. If thats not enough people have done sold rear ends for drag rx7s. 9 bolt I believe?

Any idea how they did the control arm setups with the 9-bolt?
