if its low, it will help. if the fluid is at the correct level it wont do anything
which brings me to another question...i know your supposed to add tranny fluid where the shifter is, but i put only a lil and it started to kinda overflow...i know i lost a bit of transmission fluid when i pulled out the engine and tranny from my old gxl...is there another place to put the tranny oil beside the shifter? |
i havent looked enoguh but is there a fill plug on the side of the tranny?

you are not supposed to fill the trans thru the shifter. the shifter and trans are seperate in the post 1980 cars. there is a fill plug on the side of the trans, 14mm open end wrench. |
