What is that solenoid anyway? Do s5 Tii's have neutral safety switches where you cannot start the enigne unless the clutch is disengaged? I am just curious
yes they do, all cars do.

My 86' GXL does not have one now, it's been like that since I got it. I can turn it over without even touching the clutch is the reason I asked. I just never was curious enough to look for where the switch used to be.

I'm 100% sure thats where its coming from. And it drips very mildly, maybe 2-3 a day after i drive it? The thing is, i'm not totally sure its tranny fluid, isnt tranny fluid red? It is abotu the color of 20w50 motor oil before you put it in the engine but is a lot thicker than that, and doesnt really have a smell to it.

Theres no after-market grease melting down from some where, is there? Something thicker then 20-50 is quite thick. Kinda odd that it doesnt have a smell. You check the clutch fluid? Mine leaks on the firewall right as it goes to the tranny.
