I have an 86 na FC. The mods so far are a full exhaust, an icebox, a 4 puck clutch, coilovers, and NGK wiring. NOthing to big or awesome, but i have some concerns. I bought the car with a 4puck clutch already installed, there were a few Weird tranny problems...such as no 5th or reverse. I have yet to get it fixed, as my dad is a mechaninc and he can check it out whenever he has freetime, and its a second car, not my daily driver yet. The engagement with this clutch is really harsh...and I was wondering what kind of damage i could cause....or if i am nice to it, wil it be nice back, and not break? The car has 130k on it, and i was wonderin what else i might be in for...i did research and everyone says i only have maybe a year out of it....so what do you guys think? I wanna hear from other Rotarymen, not just Honda Lovin ***** wrinkles....Thanks

cheers

ive had a 4 puck unsprung clutch... for a few thousand miles and no problems at all .. grabs really good on high end..and i know a lot of people who have used them wit no problems.. the problem is ur synchros.. which has nothing to do with clutch... is that ur only problems? i mean these clutches do damage flywheels but that'll take a few years before that.

before shifting reverse.. try going thru 1st first and then reverse... or 2nd then reverse it helps the synchros... and as for 5th.. if it grinds try shifting slow or going from 4th.. up right and then up.....not diagnal

Alright, ill try those things...heh. Its disheartinbgin to drive it though, because i doesnt grind, its just liek i go to shift upwards...or downwards int he case of R and it just doest go 'in'. Thanks fior the clutch info, i was worried, cuz its a really harsh engagment. I dotn know why i have it at all though, that clutch ois abeatiful thing, when I havea lil stoplight war with a hondam i can launch higher than his redline practically....hmm well...thanks for the tips...if i tear out the gearbox, what shoudl i look for to fix the synchros?
