If the thing has an internal problem all you did when you changed the fluid was make it worst.all ways happens.Brings out the problems.Check the valve body--they do get clogged with ****.

all auto trannies go bad, we used to stock every one that mazda made

Thanks for the info, it is starting to get worse by the day, I am taking it to one of the more reputable tranny shops on Friday, I just hope the guy will work on it. I will let you know if it will need to be

rebuilt, but if he has to pull it, why not go ahead and rebuild? Can these trannys take a shift kit, or would it help?

My mechanic wanted me to change the modulator valve first before we tore into it. That will be here Saturday.

Well the modulator is changed and now it wont even pull out of the driveway. WTF? The vacuum line is good all the way to the manifold, it does have vacuum. Where is the valve body? And how do I clean it? I know this is going to be something simple that I have overlooked. I could fall into a barrel of **** and come up sucking my thumb, that is how my luck runs!

the valve body is the main part of the transmission when you take the

pan off, I would seek professional help from here.

Usually once a tranny goes bad and you try changing the oil or

changing little parts here and there is when its done for good.
