And that would really contribute to any driveablility problems you have...
What is up with that wierd trottle linkage action? The upper primaries are tied into the secondaries, instead of the lower primaries??? Is that an 86 only type thing?

Ughh I dont know. That throttel body is the one that was on my 88 SE. My 86 TB had the secondaries open all the time. I have no drivability problems but my car backfires like a mother ****** when I let the engine whine down in gear. Also my idel screw is all the way up if I put it down it turns off. But my car idels great at 600RPm and around 800 RPM in gear. But my car tells me to up shift like at 4K when im at WOT.

The shift light always turns on around 3K-4K rpm.
Ya know what...after it's warmed up, the secondaries and upper primaries will stay wide open all the time. Between that and the TPS being tweaked, you might actually be able to run that engine...
