hey guys i recently bought my first FC but about 40 days after i bought it i was driving it to my friends wedding and all of a sudden it started to lose the gas pedal and went back down to idle. it did this for about 5 minutes and then returned to normal for 10 minutes and started all over. so i was going to drive it to the shop but on the way there i heard what sounded like a small backfire and so i happened to get out and look under the car and i saw all of the oil on the ground ...... i tracked that problem down the the line going from the oil cooler to the OMP. my question to you is what do i need to take that off? and should i replace it with just a stock one?

thanks in advance

there sholudnt be any oil lines running from your oil cooler to omp. There are two from the cooler to the engine. There are four omp lines that run into the engine, two into the housings and two into the LIM, is this one of the lines youre refering to?

The OMP bolts on the side of the front cover, opposite the side the oil lines run into the engine. Does it have a BIG banjo fitting on the end of it? The one that is blown?

yes its the front driver side of the car right below the power steering pump. it does have that big fitting on it, its got a crack or somthing underneath the foam padding it has on it.

Cool, thats one of the lines from the oil cooler to the engine, It can be replaced w/ factory hose, or upgraded w/ braided stainless, Racing Beat offers the set for under 300 if you want to go that route, I think almost everyone runs them. Its like a 19mm socket to remove, not hard

Dont quote me on 19mm, but its up there somwhere, 19, 21, 22 im unsure,

the TPS couls have gone bad, im unclear on this as well. You could try to find one on your trip to the scrap yard.

I would love to hear the outcome on that gas pedal thing, happened to me with my GXL today, have to check and make sure everything is legit under the hood, have some people coming to look at the car this weekend, and I dont want to stick someone with a problem.

Well, my problem turned out to be my TPS. I adjusted it ever so slightly, and now it runs like a champ, adjusted it along with a tiny Air/fuel ratio and idle adjustment as well.
